Weekend Links – See ya! :)

It’s been pretty quiet around here. :) I’ve been busy putting the final touches on our month long trip! We originally planned to just go with a tour company who would take care of everything, but I decided that if we made our own itinerary, we can hit exactly what we want. Especially eat what we want! Unfortunately, I didn’t anticipate the amount of work that that would require, especially with a 14-hour time difference! Still have a couple flights to book when we get there, but everything else is ready to go!

If I were a good girl, I would have had posts lined up when I was gone, but I didn’t want to miss any of the comments or interactions in the interim, so I decided to just leave it for a month. The boy will try to do weekly updates to link up some great articles, and maybe he’ll even write a post or two when I’m gone! If he does, I’m pretty sure it will have something to do with hockey. He insists he can link the Flames, Iggy, and personal finance somehow. I am skeptical. :P

Even though I didn’t have any posts this week, check out some of the stuff I read this week:

1. Mr. CBB had an interesting article about “Making the Best of What is Available: My Grocery Shopping” which illustrates what meals and grocery shopping is like in Guatamala.

2. Liquid had an article about “Beating Professional Fund Managers.” Stay focused with your investing strategy! The picture is pretty awesome as well. :)

3. Modest Money had a post outlining “3 Wild Tales of Insurance Fraud.” Crime just doesn’t pay, does it?

4. CF over at The Outlier Model asked “Where are all the girls in the game industry?” I definitely play a lot of games, but never thought of it for a career. It is pretty cool how much she loves her job!

Thanks to the following blogs for linking up to Vix Money in the past week:
